Plotter Cutting Machines
Amongst the array of plotters available, plotter cutting machines are a widely used, industry standard. Used to cut materials such as paper or vinyl, a cutting plotter is able to make precise and consistent cutting designs in large quantities.
Because of this, cutting plotters (generally called die-cut machines) have been adopted by many home enthusiasts of paper crafts such as card making. Such tools allow desired card shapes to be cut out very precisely, and repeated perfectly identically.
Like all plotting machines, a cutting plotter requires computer design software to function. The design software offers users the ability to create detailed, accurate designs as well as reproduce existing ones.

A vinyl cutter is a unique type of cutting plotter. Typically used by professional sign makers to create weather proof signs, posters, and billboards using coloured adhesive backed vinyl film that has a removable paper backing material.
