How A Laser Cuts Metal Plates

Lasers are used for many purposes in industry. A common way they are utilised, especially in manufacturing, is for cutting.

For a laser beam to cut through metal it must be focused so that it is powerful enough to do so. This is achieved using special lens, or by a curved mirror, and this takes place in the laser cutting head. The beam is precisely focused so that the shape of the focus spot and the density of the energy in that spot are perfectly round and consistent

Laser cutting is used to cut materials such as mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum plate. It yields excellent an excellent trim quality and also has a very small kerf width and heat affect zone. Laser cutting also makes it possible to cut intricate shapes and small holes, the design of which would be much more difficult and inefficient to cut using manual processes.
